Mid-Winter Parent Coffeehouse

The middle of the winter is a great time to get refreshments into your homeschool.

Come February 16th at 7pm and let us encourage you!

Because of all that we have to cover with you, the meeting will begin as a general session in the main auditorium at 7:00p.m. Breakout sessions will follow at 7:45p.m., and with the exception of the Dad’s seminar, will run in two 45-minute sessions. Bring a dessert to share, and join us to be encouraged in a variety of breakout sessions designed to give you practical help in your homeschooling. At this meeting, open for FSP members, you will find sessions on:

  • If I Could Do It All Over Again
  • Homeschooling Middle School Boys
  • Keeping the Home in Homeschooling
  • FIN Families – Navigating the services at Montgomery College for your struggling learner
  • High School – Rita will cover FSP requirements for graduation, the High School Certification Program, MCI, Chieftain, online classes, Montgomery College, Montgomery Scholars Program, Scholarships and more.
  • Co-ops – How to organize, get started and thrive!
  • Organization
  • Teaching Bible to Your Children
  • Homeschooling K-3rd grade
  • Dad’s Meeting – Bob Hoover, Dave Calderone, Mike Winn, Bruce Benjamin, and Craig Tiren.

You can get full seminar descriptions by downloading this document: Breakout Session descriptions 2-16-12

We have some other business to attend to as well. We plan to:

  • Introduce the new FSP website and give you a preview of what’s in store.
  • Introduce new initiatives coming to FSP.
  • Solicit your input that will determine how we proceed with some of our initiatives.
